Engaging Interactions is an Early Intervention Service supporting children 0-10yrs of age with developmental or learning challenges and their families.

Our main focus at Engaging Interactions is to:

  • Strengthen parent – child engagement and attachment

  • Support children as they develop functional life skills to help them meet the demands and challenges of everyday life

  • Support children in their ability to become regulated, intentional and logical thinkers

  • Empower parents/caregivers through coaching and support so that they can be a driving force in their child’s early intervention

  • Focus on the integration of all developmental areas – social, emotional, motor, sensory, language and cognitive through play based, child lead experiences.

  • Support children and families in their chosen environment – home, park, community playgroup, play centre, mother’s group playdate.

Engaging Interactions applies the developmental,
relationship – based approach called DIR Floortime®.

DIR® (Developmental, Individual Differences, Relationship-based model) is a
holistic approach to working with children with learning and developmental
challenges where the objective is to build healthy foundations for social, emotional,
and intellectual capacities through play -based Floortime® sessions.

All children have within them the potential to be great kids. It’s our job to create a great world where this potential can flourish.
